ABOUT US
Supporting safer lives. Empowering stronger futures.
At Pathway to Protection, we believe everyone deserves to live free from fear, control and abuse. We provide compassionate, confidential and practical support to individuals, children and families affected by domestic abuse throughout the United Kingdom.
WHO WE ARE
Our role is not only to help people escape abuse but also to support them as they rebuild confidence, independence and hope for the future.
Domestic abuse affects people from every background — regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, disability, faith, sexual orientation, income or immigration status. Every person’s experience is unique, and every journey towards safety looks different.
Whether someone contacts us during a crisis, while planning to leave, or years after the abuse has ended, we walk alongside them every step of the way.
OUR VISION
A United Kingdom where everyone can live free from domestic abuse.
Communities where abuse is recognised, survivors are believed, families are supported, and every individual has access to the protection, resources and opportunities needed to live safely and independently.
OUR MISSION
To walk beside every survivor.
- Provide confidential support for people experiencing domestic abuse.
- Promote safety through practical planning and advocacy.
- Empower survivors to make informed decisions.
- upport children and families as they recover from the effects of domestic abuse and trauma
- Work collaboratively with local communities and partner organisations.
OUR VALUES
What guides us.
Compassion
Every conversation begins with empathy, kindness and respect. We create a safe environment where people feel heard and believed.
Confidentiality
Trust is at the heart of everything we do. We only share information where required by law or where safeguarding responsibilities apply.
Empowerment
We never tell people what to do. We provide information, practical support and advocacy so individuals can make informed decisions.
Inclusion
We are committed to inclusive, accessible services that respect different cultures, identities, faiths, abilities and family circumstances.
Collaboration
Where appropriate, we work alongside local authorities, healthcare, housing, police, solicitors, schools and community organisations.
OUR APPROACH
Trauma-informed. Person-centred. At your pace.
Every person’s experience is different. Rather than a one-size-fits-all service, we provide personalised support that reflects each individual’s goals, circumstances and pace — focused on restoring safety, dignity and independence while respecting your choices.
