Non-molestation orders and occupation orders are forms of injunction used in England and Wales. They serve different purposes and whether either is appropriate depends on individual circumstances.

This is general information and not legal advice.

Non-molestation orders

A non-molestation order is intended to protect a person or child from abuse, harassment, threats or other prohibited behaviour by the person named in the order.

Occupation orders

An occupation order concerns who can live in or enter a family home or surrounding area.
